Exumas, Bahamas selected for new high-end resort project by Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts
Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts on February 5, 2025, announced its intention to construct Bvlgari Resort and Mansions Cave Cay, in the Bahamas, scheduled to open in 2029.
Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts’ headquarters is in Washington, District of Columbia. Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts collection includes properties in Milan, London, Bali, Beijing, Dubai, Shanghai, Paris and the recently added ones in Rome and Tokyo.The chain describes itself as featuring “bold Italian style typical of Bvlgari, reflected in its unique design, its contemporary Italian cuisine, and its lavish spas. It conveys the excitement of the Bvlgari brand, its timeless glamour, and its magnificent Italian jewelry heritage.”
Four additional hotels and resorts are coming soon to Miami, Bodrum, Maldives and Cave Cay between 2026 and 2029. The chain has estimated revenue of US$468.3 million.
A company release indicates that the Bvlgari Resort and Mansions at Cave Cay will comprise 64 luxury suites and seafront villas, as well as 48 Bvlgari branded private mansions and estates offered for sale.
Cave Cay, is a 220-acre private island located in the Exumas. The resort is slated to offer a wide range of facilities including spa and wellness center, a multi-sports enclave, kids' club, restaurant run by Michelin starred and a marina for docking needs of the residents.
In planning also for the marina is “a promenade offering a variety of shops and gastronomic experiences. The marina will also serve as the starting point of extensive watersports and a rich variety of local area experiences including excursions to secluded islands and sand-dunes.”
