Everything Fresh reported earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2024. For the full year, the company reported sales was JMD 3,677 million compared to JMD 3,171.77 million a year ago. Net income was JMD 30.1 million compared to JMD 98.68 million a year ago.

The trader was incorporated on August 18th, 2003, commencing operations some five years later in October of 2008. The Company imports and manufactures high-demand food products to include dairy products, assorted dry and canned goods, fruits, vegetables, seafood and delicatessen meats and distributes them to various blue-chip companies and businesses in Jamaica across the hospitality and food retail sectors.

In 2024, the Group launched a corporate delivery service, where batch orders could be placed and delivered directly to customers at their offices, adding another direct channel to the distribution network which today contributed to 6 per cent of sales monthly.

Everything Fresh supplies all major supermarket chains as well as the independent grocery stores locally.

The Group in 2024 appointed a dedicated food service sales representative, whose primary focus is to identify and secure relationships with restaurants, juice bars and mini marts island wide.

This resulted, management said in the annual report, in “ a significant increase in retail sales.”

The Group identified the need to increase canned good distribution and so secured distribution rights for a number of new, high value brands to include La Fragua.

Everything Fresh indicates that it is actively diversifying its product portfolio to meet the “increasing demand for quality, variety, and value.”

Aiming at improving efficiency the Bog Walk Distribution centre is central to this effort, offering a strategic advantage in warehousing, logistics, and inventory management. Leveraging this facility enables the Group aims to reduce costs, improve turnaround times, and better serve customers across the island.

Bahamas

Growth in The Bahamas projected at approximately 1.7 per cent for 2025. Everything Fresh remains focused on deepening its presence in this market. The Group says it is s actively exploring opportunities in under-served segments, with a view to expanding its footprint and capitalising on the sustained strength of the tourism sector - the principal driver of the Bahamian economy.

Strategic initiatives include the targeted expansion of the local sales force and tailored sourcing arrangements designed to align with the preferences of international and regional clientele, as well as the opening of a meat cutting plant, enabling it to better cater to the needs of restaurateurs.

To further reduce the importation costs, the group incorporated a company based in Miami, Florida which would buy directly from manufacturers and sell to the Company at marginal markup.

The Company was able to enter the food service market by increasing its client base from supermarkets only to now include supplying hotels and which increased the Company’s market share by approximately 500 per cent.

At the start of 2012, an opening was created in the local market by the closure of National Meats Company and the RIU Hotels requested that the Company import meats for them. The Company purchased two Freightliner trucks and built three additional freezer rooms at its current registered location, 78 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 11 and in July 2012 the Company started to supply beef, poultry and seafood to hotels.

The Company acquired The Meat Experts, based in Bog Walk, St. Catherine, in January 2019 which acquisition provided access to increased cold storage.

In June 2021 when the Company completed the purchase of 60 per cent of the shares of Everything Fresh Bahamas and began consolidating the results into its financial statements going forward. In April 2022, the Company acquired a further 20 per c

Management notes that although net profit declined in 2024, reflecting higher operating costs associated with investments in long-term growth and external market pressures, the Group hopes to increase profitability over the medium term.

Investments were in the areas of logistics, inventory management, and cold storage capacities at the Bog Walk and Marcus Garvey alongside the rollout of a new accounting system in the Bahamian subsidiary, which allowed for better inventory tracking, and greater cross-departmental integration.
