Kintyre Holdings inks new joint venture with digital and delivery company Digitize Jamaica
Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited (formerly iCreate)whose first quarter 2025 and audited
financials for the year ended are delayed has meanwhile announced a new joint
venture with digital company
Digitize Jamaica, creators of the Island Run mobile app.
Island Run —
www.islandrunja.com — is a multi-service platform that combines on-demand food
delivery, event ticketing, and on demand services that include bookings for
professionals such as make-up artists, freelancers, and other service
providers.
Kintyre states that Island Run is now live in Kingston,
Montego Bay, and Ocho Rios, with recent expansion into the Dominican Republic.
“Launches in the British Virgin Islands and Belize are
currently underway and are scheduled for a Q3 2025 launch. As of May 2025,
Island Run has surpassed 17,100 registered users and is now one of the
top-downloaded apps in its category in Jamaica,” it was stated.
Kintyre Holdings, Chairman and CEO Tyrone Wilson, said, will support Island Run through its internal strategy and operations team, while also leveraging subsidiary Visual Vibe, “to promote and embed Island Run across key urban and commercial zones.We see Island Run as a powerful tech platform that represents the future of how people move, work, eat, and access services on demand,” said Wilson.
He added, “Our focus is on scaling high-growth ventures, and
this joint venture aligns perfectly with our vision of building a digital
ecosystem that supports commerce, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship in the
Caribbean.”
“Restructuring GetPaid as a core division a lowed us to cut
costs, streamline our strategy, and reposition for regional growth. GetPaid,
which is our Financial Technology (FinTech) and e-commerce division, now serves
as the foundation for scaling digital platforms at Kintyre.”
Kintyre indicates that audited and first quarter results are
delayed due to the onboarding of a new finance team.
However unaudited results for the fourth quarter ended
December 31, 2024, reported revenue for
Q4 2024 was $93.35 million, reflecting a 50.3 per cent increase from $62.09
million in Q4 2023. Net profit surged $60.35 million, up from $12.39 million in Q4
2023.
For the twelve months
ended December 31, 2024, Kintyre Holdings recorded revenue up by 54.6 per cent to $217.08 million, compared to $140.46
million in 2023, largely attributed to
improved performance from Visual Vibe and investment gains.
Net profit for the
year was $80.64 million, reversing a loss of $137.72 million in 2023.
